new arrivals & X-mas prepping wine tasting

A stimulating selection of new arrivals and cellar treasures on our tasting table coming Saturday, 18-12-2021!

From Hungary, Kristinus Zenit 2020 – aromatic, fruity, acidity driven reductive style, pleasant and refreshing white

From Serbia, Maurer Karom 2020 white – well balanced field blend of Bakator, Mézes Fehér and Szerémi Zöld. 16 months aging in the old barrels and bottled unfiltered according to the Lunar calendar.

Kristinus Liquid SunDowner 2020 we call it LSD – deep amber colored orange wine. Made from hand-picked Gewurztraminer, Welschriesling, Pinot Gris and Chardonnay, spontaneously fermented on the skins and matured on the fine lees for 6 months.

Maurer Orion 2020, orange wine, happy marriage of Mézes Fehér and Riesling spiced with a little bit of noble rot. 21 day of skin contact. Fermentation and aging in oak barrels.

One blissful red French or maybe two…
One seriously big Italian.
And one more Serbian from Greece pretending to be French, with 8 months maceration, 10 months on fine lees in amphora and 10 months in oak barrels before bottling.
