This Saturday, we’re heading deep into Franconia — ancient Muschelkalk slopes, fossil-rich soils, and wines that carry that terrain in every glass.

Christian Ottenbreit farms these steep hillsides with care and conviction, producing raw, uncompromised wines with a signature chalky tension and striking purity.

This weekend we’re pouring a stellar lineup of his newest releases: last year’s crowd favourite the Scheurebe ‘Scheu to the World’, the razor-sharp, directly pressed Hucklkätz Silvaner, the vibrant Unleashed Grauburgunder, the mineral-driven Long Live Müller-Thurgau, and the delicate Sieben Hügel Pinot Noir.

Free to attend — though a bottle or two tends to find its way home with most people.
