Asotom – Ops! Grignolino 2018
If you love Italian wine, Piemonte could very well be one of your favourite regions.
In the North of Italy, at the foot of the Alps, Nebbiolo, Barbera and Dolcetto are some of the most popular Italian wine grapes.
And there is one more, Grignolino.
From the cellar of Tommaso Gallina this rustic wine, made only from fermented grape juice and nothing more, shines gloriously over the Italian natural wine arena all the way to our shop in Amsterdam.
Murky, garnet coloured with aromas of rose petals, rosehip and pomegranate.
Spiced up with an provocative whiff of VA leading to a saline, grainy tannic finish through a labyrinth sprinkled with wet leaves and pieces of a broken cigar box.
