Furmint 2021

Most of the wines we know from the Furmint grape are Hungarian and famous for their semi-sweet or sweet wines.

This dry Furmint wine is from northern Serbia, the vineyard situated on the slopes of the mountain Fruska Gora, next to the river Danube. With golden colour and haziness it is  an impressive expression, smells like overripe apples, candied orange, dried apricot, mango and quince. On the palate citrus fruits with white flowers and honeycomb, slightly nutty and a touch of ginger.

With all this it is still an easy drinking wine and highly gastronomic. Full of surprises and powerful. It can be paired with fatty seafood and oysters, also well roasted meat, fennel, brussels sprouts and chestnuts.
