Muller-Koeberlé – Schlossreben 2022
This elegant, fragrant and hazy orange wine, a blend of Gewurztraminer and Riesling from Alsace, brings the best of both grape varieties: lychee, rose and grapefruit escorted by apricot and pear. The tension between vibrant, mouthwatering acidity, mineral and floral notes with a spicy whiff of white pepper and tender tannins in the background make this wine an exhilarating encounter.
Maurer – Babba II
The ‘Mother wine’ for this cuvee was a blend of Grašac (Welschriesling) 2019 and Bakator 2020 from plot Karaš, one of the best locations on the slopes of the Fruška Gora mountain in Northern Serbia, just next to Danube river.
This wine is used like a firestarter for fermentation, mixed with a must of Mezes Feher and Furmint in 2021 and later ennobled with the must of Tamjanika (a local Muscat grape variety).
In essence Babba had triple fermentation and in the meantime remained for three years in 500L old oak vessels.
Szóló – Kraft 2019
Full bunch carbonic maceration of partly botrytized grapes and 7 months on its fine lees without batonnage resulted in a truly remarkable wine.
The nose is dominated by stone- and tropical fruit with gentle floral acacia, chamomile and honey tones.
Elegant lace robe with dry mango and apricot, ripe pineapple, citrus zest and a caramel hint.
