Dry Tokaji Wine
Fermentation is done in a combination of amphora and immersed*, not toasted, oak barrels.
Deep golden yellow, slightly hazy, the wine is not filtered nor fined.
The nose shows great flinty bouquet development with floral acacia tones, citrus and stone fruit, also a touch of white pepper with fresh herbal tones of eucalyptus.
The palette is dominated by citrus fruit, followed by ripe mango and some pineapple. Green tea and a seductive hint of cinnamon and bergamot.
11 months sur-lie and barrel ageing left beautiful undertones of resin, caramel and boterbabbelaars (traditional Dutch candy, rich and creamy, made of butter, sugar and vinegar)
This is a classy example of dry natural Tokaji wine with a strong mineral backbone supported by brisk vibrant acidity.
Clean long, lingering finish keeping you in contemplation and longing for more.

Wines aged in barrels with immersion show less intense oaky and toasty aromas. Tasters find these wines to be “fruitier”, but still having benefits of micro oxidation and aromas of resin, caramel and butterscotch.
