The Gatinois Wine House, for 12 generations producer of Champagne, is located in the ancient village of Aÿ. Predominantly Pinot Noir in their Champagne this brut tradition shows a deep golden hue with coppery reflections while having richness, structure and a delicious fruity character. The Chardonnay adds a refined, soft and creamy touch to the blend. Ripe fruit aromas evolving into toasty notes. Very suitable as an aperitif, great pairing with sushi, foie gras, seafood or scallop carpaccio.
There is also a significant proportion of reserve wines in the blend, adding intense, complex aroma and a characteristic Pinot Noir vinosity.
Gatinois Champagne is aged “sur lattes” (horizontally on racks) in the cellars for a minimum of 2 years before disgorging the yeasts.
