Bikicki Cu 2021 Pinot Grigio
Soft, luscious and rounded orange wine, with a bouquet of hibiscus, rose hip jam and red plums, followed by emerging aromas of ripe cherry and wild strawberry.
The palate is full bodied but fresh, lots of red fruit and a mouth-watering minerality and herbal tones, followed by notes of blood oranges drenched in maraschino and amaro liqueurs (thank you David O.).
3-days macerated natural wine, from the location Banostor on the Fruska Gora, Serbia. The vineyard facing north-west is situated near the river Danube.
Fermentation was spontaneous on wild yeasts, aging six months on new Hungarian light barriques. The wine is bottled unfiltered and unfined.
