Domaine Des Marnes Blanches Côtes Du Jura Trousseau 2018
In the fresh red wine range, Jura, located between the Bourgogne and Switzerland, has a lot to offer to curious wine drinkers.
Knowing that 2018 was a warm vintage, its pale colour reflects the gentle extraction, but the wine has quite some weight and grip.
To some extent foggy in the glass, this outstanding red Jura hits the nose with brisk, fresh raspberry and pomegranate aromas, as light herbs and eucalyptus cut through the haze.
There’s an earthy, gravel-like grasp on the palate and fragrant aromas of violets, with blue- and black fruit adding complexity.
Aromatic bouquet with rich texture, remarkably counterbalanced by fine minerality and resolute tannic structure reveal a great gastronomic wine that will combine perfectly with flavoursome dishes.
Raclette, Comté cheese, game or mushroom pâtés and terrines, Morel Mushroom, Pork Sausage, Steak Tartare, Basque-style Tuna and Paella with Saffron and Smoked Paprika.
