In the prestigious winemaking landscape of Tokaj, Hungary, a new masterpiece has been unveiled.
Szóló – Tuz 2021, a Furmint natural orange wine, is a vibrant ode to the region’s volcanic legacy and the artistry of winemaking.
The wine presents itself in an intense golden amber color, with a captivating copper hue that serves as a preface to discovery.
On the nose, Tuz 2021 offers an abundance of aromas.
Pear and quince mingle with tropical mango and melon, while traces of raisin and honeysuckle weave through the bouquet. The spice of anise and nutmeg adds a warm, inviting complexity.
On the palate, superb oak aging imparts notes of nutmeg and butterscotch, complemented by a resinous quality that anchors the wine’s structure. The finish is graced with dried white fruit, leaving a lasting impression.
The grapes, sourced from a 40-year-old vineyard, were destemmed and spent four weeks on skins, capturing the essence of the Tokaji volcanic soil.
Aged in M+ toasted Zemplén Oak barrels and rested on hard lees for 23 months before bottling, the wine has been crafted with a devotion to excellence.
With medium acidity and tannin, this wine achieves a high aroma intensity that is both bold and refined.
The primary, secondary, and tertiary aromas are beautifully spread, creating a tapestry of sensations that speak to the wine’s exceptional nature.
